Motorcyclist dies in High Wycombe after striking rock

Police believe a motorcyclist might have died after striking a rock deliberately left in the road.

A 52-year-old man from High Wycombe died in Daws Hill Lane, High Wycombe, after the accident on Sunday morning.

Thames Valley Police were told of the crash by a member of the public at 06:30 BST.

The force said: "It appears a large rock had been placed in the carriageway, which the motorcycle struck."

Officers have urged anybody with information about the collision to contact them.

The victim, from High Wycombe, has not yet been identified.
