Man charged over 1992 Bedfordshire churchgoer rape

A man has been charged with the rape 20 years ago of a woman who was walking home from church in Bedfordshire.

Daniel Borgers, 41, of Napier Crescent, Scarborough, is accused of raping the woman in Stotfold in 1992.

The victim, who was in her 40s, was attacked on her way home from church in October of that year.

Mr Borgers, who police said used to live in Stotfold, is due to appear at Luton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
