Part of an industrial estate in Luton was evacuated as fire crews tackled a chemical spillage.
Bedfordshire and Luton Fire and Rescue Service was called to Hair Systems Europe, on Camford Way, at 16:40 BST.
The brigade said smoke and chemical vapour was coming from the building. The crews disposed of 15kg (33lb) of waste chemicals.
Paramedics checked three people at the scene but none needed treatment. The site reopened by 19:00 BST.
Mosque hit by incendiary device
