Man arrested after woman's body found in Ampthill house

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found in a house in Bedfordshire.

Police were called to Ailesbury Road, Ampthill, at 01:30 BST after a report that a woman had been fatally injured.

The Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire Major Crime Unit has since arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the death.

Officers are currently undertaking a full forensic examination of the surrounding area.
