Diamond Jubilee: Events go ahead despite wet weather

People across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire celebrated the Diamond Jubilee on Sunday despite the wet weather.
In Bedfordshire, a Love Luton Diamond Jubilee Celebration started at 11:00 BST in St George's Square in the town and ran all day.
The event included a Luton Cultural Food Festival, children's competitions and entertainment.
Other events included a Jubilee Big Lunch in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
The meal, which received a Diamond Jubilee Big Lunch grant, was held outside St Mary's Church in the town.

Co-ordinator Adrian Jackson, of the Aylesbury Old Town Residents Association, said: "We had amazing assistance from the Big Lottery fund and a lot of local businesses have been very generous in sponsorship."
The Big Victorian Jubilee Picnic at The Higgins Art Gallery and Museum, Bedford, was called off due to the weather.
