Diamond Jubilee: Events go ahead despite wet weather
People across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire celebrated the Diamond Jubilee on Sunday despite the wet weather.
In Bedfordshire, a Love Luton Diamond Jubilee Celebration started at 11:00 BST in St George's Square in the town and ran all day.
The event included a Luton Cultural Food Festival, children's competitions and entertainment.
Other events included a Jubilee Big Lunch in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
The meal, which received a Diamond Jubilee Big Lunch grant, was held outside St Mary's Church in the town.
Co-ordinator Adrian Jackson, of the Aylesbury Old Town Residents Association, said: "We had amazing assistance from the Big Lottery fund and a lot of local businesses have been very generous in sponsorship."
The Big Victorian Jubilee Picnic at The Higgins Art Gallery and Museum, Bedford, was called off due to the weather.
Members of the Spielpltatz Naturists Centre, near St Albans, celebrated the jubilee despite the rain.
