Man charged with attempted murder after Bedford shooting

A 24-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting at a fastfood restaurant in Bedford.

A 34-year-old man was shot at the Peri Peri Chicken Shop in Midland Road in the early hours of 23 November.

The arrested man, who was held in London, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

A Bedfordshire Police spokesman said the man was due to appear before Luton Magistrates later.

One other person has previously been charged in connection with the shooting.
