A 40-year-old man has been charged with murdering a teenager 11 years ago, police have said.

Shahidul Ahmed, from Chestnut Crescent, Bletchley, is due to appear before magistrates in Milton Keynes on Wednesday.

The body of Rachel Manning, 19, was found at Woburn Golf Club, in Milton Keynes, on 12 December 2000.

She had disappeared two days earlier after a 1960s-themed fancy dress party at Bradwell Village Hall, in the town.

Her boyfriend, Barri White, was cleared of her murder in 2008.

Mr White spent six years in jail and was released after his case was highlighted by the BBC's Rough Justice programme.

He was told he would face no further charges in relation to the case.
