Teenager killed in A5 Milton Keynes crash was missing

A pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Milton Keynes was a 15-year-old who had been reported missing hours earlier.

Connor Dyer, from Bradville in Milton Keynes, was hit by a Toyota Avensis on the A5 between Abbey Hill roundabout and Old Stratford early on Friday.

His mother called police at 0155 BST to report her son as missing and officers started a search.

But shortly after 0330 BST police were called to the A5 accident.

Connor was pronounced dead at the scene.

The carriageway was closed for about four hours while forensic examinations were carried out.
