Pedestrian killed in A5 Milton Keynes accident

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car in Milton Keynes in the early hours.

The accident happened in on the A5 northbound carriageway between Abbey Hill roundabout and Old Stratford when a Toyota Avensis hit the pedestrian.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The carriageway was closed for about four hours while forensic examinations were carried out. Police are appealing for witnesses.
