A man has admitted killing a pedestrian who was hit by a car following an argument at a road junction in Kent.

Jake Austin, from Gillingham, admitted the manslaughter of John O'Donohue, 33, in Castlemaine Avenue on 23 January.

Austin, 25, pleaded not guilty to murder in a trial that began two weeks ago at Maidstone Crown Court.

Mr O'Donohue, also known as John Hedges, was fatally injured when he was trapped underneath a stolen Ford Mondeo estate that was driven at him.

Austin has also pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine.

The trial continues.
