Suspect John Heald arrested over Bridlington landlady murder

A man wanted for questioning by police over the fatal stabbing of a guesthouse landlady has been arrested.

John Heald, 53, was apprehended in Rotherham in connection with the murder of Bei Carter in Bridlington, East Yorkshire.

Mrs Carter, 49, was found dead at Morayland Guest House on Marshall Avenue on 18 July.

Mr Heald, from Rotherham, was arrested in the Parkgate area of the town at 14:15 BST.

Flowers have been laid for Ms Carter outside the guesthouse.

Police said she died from a single stab wound to the chest.
