23 July 2014 Last updated at 12:03 BST

A major brick manufacturer is to reopen two mothballed factories to meet a shortage of bricks in the housing industry.

Plants at Hartlebury in Worcestershire and Ewhurst in Surrey will increase brick manufacturer Wienerberger's brick capacity by 200 million.

BBC Midlands Today's Cath Mackie spoke to Nick Southern from building company Stepnell; Mark Wakeford from the Construction Alliance; and Keith Barker from Wienerberger.
