A car passenger killed in a collision that caused part of the M6 to be closed for nine hours has been named.

Haroon Raja, 33, from Yardley, Birmingham, died on Sunday in the crash involving a lorry between junction 4 for Coleshill, Warwickshire, and 4A.

The motorway was shut northbound between the two junctions after the collision happened at about 04:55 BST.

The lorry driver, who was believed to be in his 50s, was still in hospital earlier with serious injuries.

The driver of the Audi Q7 car, who was reported to be in his 30s, had minor injuries and has left hospital.
