Police searching for a missing student have released CCTV footage of a man they say could have information about his whereabouts.

Matthew Jordan, from Middlesbrough, went missing in Bowness, Cumbria, in the early hours of 27 March.

CCTV shows a man walking through the churchyard next to the pub that Matthew and his friends had been visiting.

Cumbria Police said he may know where the 20-year-old went after leaving the pub.

The images show a man walk through the grounds of the church and out of shot at 00:54 GMT, before returning about 10 seconds later walking back in the direction he had originally come from.

That was 10 minutes after the last confirmed sighting of the criminology student.

Matthew is described as 6ft tall, of medium build, with dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a navy long-sleeved shirt, jeans and grey pull-up boots.
