Man killed and two people injured in A420 crash

A man has been killed in a crash on the main road between Oxford and Swindon.

Two lorries and a car were involved in the collision at 03:50 BST on the A420 at Pusey Woods. The fire brigade cut two people from the wreckage.

The driver of a white Seat Leon, a man from Swindon in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A female passenger was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of a white Volvo lorry was taken to the same hospital.

He was later discharged. A white DAF lorry was also involved in the collision.

The road was closed for several hours to allow investigations to take place but has since been reopened. Police are appealing for witnesses.
