Family and friends of a student who disappeared during a night out more than a week ago have joined a search for him.

Matthew Jordan, from Middlesbrough, went missing in the Bowness area of Cumbria in the early hours of 27 March.

The 20-year-old was in Cumbria with three friends. CCTV images released by police show him leaving the Stag's Head pub before returning there later.

Saturday's search started at Goodly Dale Primary School.

Mr Jordan is described as 6ft tall, of medium build, with dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a navy long-sleeved shirt, jeans and grey pull-up boots.
