Six counts of indecent assault relate to one alleged victim at Elgin High in Newcastle where Mr Talbot previously taught, police said.

The other offences relate to four alleged victims from Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, where he also taught.

Mr Talbot, from Bowdon, Greater Manchester, is best known for his work on the ITV programme This Morning in the late 1980s and 1990s when it was hosted by Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan.
