Five charged after £1.5m of drugs found in Liverpool

Five men have been charged after drugs thought to be worth £1.5m were seized during a raid on a house.

Around 80kg of amphetamine was recovered during a search of a property in Colwell Road, Croxeth, Liverpool, on Friday, police said.

The haul was destined for the Teesside area, Cleveland Police said.

Four men from Liverpool and one from Hartlepool are to appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court charged with drug offences. Two men have been bailed.

The operation was led by Cleveland Police.
