Gino Di Caprio pleads guilty to surrogate child scam

A man has admitted running a scam in which a deaf couple paid money for a surrogate child who did not exist.

Gino Di Caprio, 52, of Old Row, Rossendale, Lancashire, obtained an undisclosed sum of money from the couple in Reading, Berkshire between January 2012 and August 2013.

He pleaded guilty to false representation to make gain for oneself or another at Reading Crown Court.

He is due to be sentenced on 28 February.
