St Lucia death: 'Shocking end' to sailing adventure

20 January 2014 Last updated at 14:37 GMT

Friends and family of a yachtsman who was killed by armed raiders on the Caribbean island of St Lucia have been speaking of their shock.

Last summer Roger Pratt, 62, and his wife Margaret, 60, set sail from Lowestoft in Suffolk for a trip around the world. The couple were planning to settle in Norfolk on their return.

Mr Pratt's sister-in-law said the family was "shocked and shattered". Jenny Riley said it was a "shocking and tragic end" to the couple's dream.

Alex Dunlop reports.
