A crewman had to be airlifted to hospital after an engine caught fire on a wind farm support boat four miles off the coast of Norfolk.

The crew of the Norfolk Tern contacted the coastguard just after 08:00 GMT on Monday reporting the fire.

They managed to bring the blaze under control but one crewman suffered from smoke inhalation and was taken to James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston.

The injured man's five colleagues remained onboard the vessel.

A helicopter from Suffolk's Wattisham Airfield was scrambled, along with RNLI lifeboats.
