Bristol rape investigation CCTV men identified

Detectives investigating a rape in Bristol say they indentified two men in CCTV images they released on Wednesday.

A 24-year-old woman contacted Avon and Somerset Police on Friday to report she had been raped by a man in the early hours of 15 December.

Officers said the woman was attacked in St Michael's Park in Clifton, near to Alfred Place in Kingsdown.

A spokesman said the pair were identified following a phone call and they would be speaking to them soon.

Det Insp Mike Buck said: "The victim had been out with friends during the evening of Saturday 14 December in the Clifton Triangle area of the city.

"She became separated from her friends and went to get a takeaway, where she began speaking to a group of men.

"The victim began walking home and a man walked with her.

"He then subjected her to a serious sexual assault."
