A convicted killer who absconded from prison has been arrested in Birmingham.

Lee Wheeler, 33, was let out of Sudbury Prison in Derbyshire on day release on 23 December but did not return.

Police said he was arrested in Preston Road in Yardley at about 13:00 GMT. He will appear before Birmingham magistrates on Wednesday.
