Five arrested after Hookwood taxi driver attack

Five people have been arrested after a taxi driver was assaulted when a group of passengers refused to pay.

The driver picked up the passengers outside Moka nightclub in Crawley, West Sussex on 21 December.

He then travelled to the Black Horse Pub on Reigate Road, Hookwood, Surrey, where he was assaulted about 02:15 GMT.

Surrey Police said two men and three women in their late teens had been released on bail until 1 February while the investigation continues.

The taxi driver was treated in hospital for facial and hand injuries after the attack.
