Oxford and London security van robbery arrests

Six people have been arrested in connection with a series of robberies on security vans in Oxford and London.

Five men and a woman are being held following co-ordinated morning raids in Lambeth, Croydon, Hillingdon, Uxbridge and Oxford.

They are suspected of being in a gang responsible for at least seven cash van robberies in 2012 and 2013 and a bank robbery in Stokenchurch on 9 December.

Cash was also recovered during the raids, Thames Valley Police said.

The security van robberies took place between October 2012 and November 2013 in Pinner, Hayes, Tulse Hill and Cowley Road, Oxford.
