Eastern Airways to take on Southampton - Leeds route

Eastern Airways plane landing at Southampton Airport Eastern Airways plans three daily flights during weekdays

Direct flights between Southampton and Leeds are to continue following an announcement by regional airline Eastern Airways.

The company intends to run three daily weekday services and a Sunday service from January.

Earlier this year Flybe said it would be withdrawing from the Southampton-Leeds-Bradford route.

Eastern Airways said the flights would provide access from the north to cruise ship departures from Southampton.
