Two men have been held in Essex on suspicion of attempted murder after a teenage boy was run down by a car and stabbed twice.

The 17-year-old is critical in hospital following the attack in Dorset Avenue, Chelmsford, on 21 November.

Richard Frost, 35, is being held at a police station in Essex and a 22-year-old was arrested at home in Thurrock.

Mr Frost's partner Kay Phillips, 26, and her five-month-old baby, are missing and are being sought by police.

Officers are concerned for their welfare but have been unable to make any contact with her, a spokesman said.

Miss Phillips is about 5ft 4in (1.4m), with blue eyes and shoulder-length or long dyed blonde hair.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact police.
