Great Yarmouth stairwell murder accused appear in court

Two men have been remanded in custody charged with murdering a man who was found dead in a stairwell in Norfolk.

The body of Paulius Jakovlevas, 38, was discovered at flats in Wellesley Road, Great Yarmouth, last Monday.

Kestutis Sliogeris, 39, from Cromwell Road, Peterborough, appeared at Norwich Crown Court.

Saidas Janulevicius, 35, of no fixed abode, appeared before city magistrates. He will appear at Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday.

A 40-year-old woman from the Peterborough area who was arrested in connection with the death has been released on conditional bail until next month.
