Chester man charged with rape and child sex offences

A man has been charged with historical child sex offences following an investigation into the grooming of girls, Cheshire Police have said.

Ramsey Ramsey, 78, from Newton in Chester, is accused of 21 offences, including rape, indecent assault and sexually exploiting a child.

Police said the offences were alleged to have been committed between 1989 and 2000 against three girls aged 12 to 15.

Mr Ramsey is due to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on 28 November.
