Newcastle-under-Lyme burglaries suspects arrested

Four men suspected of belonging to an organised gang responsible for a series of recent break-ins across Staffordshire have been arrested.

They were stopped in Walsall in the West Midlands while driving a van that has been linked to several burglaries in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Police said jewellery was found in the van following a search.

Staffordshire Police is now questioning the men, aged aged 59, 38, 29 and 21, on suspicion of conspiracy to burgle.
