Swan on line causes delay at Winchester train station

18 October 2013 Last updated at 15:00 BST

Commuters at Winchester train station had their morning journeys disrupted when a swan wandered on to the tracks.

The young bird got on the tracks shortly after 08:00 BST, holding up a train running from Birmingham to Bournemouth.

After a short stand-off it was eventually rescued by a worker.

The swan was then passed to the RSPCA, and the train eventually left 30 minutes late.
