A driver has been charged in connection with the death of a cyclist on the A66 on Teesside.

Sean Ruff, 61, from Cleadon Village, Sunderland, died in the collision near Eaglescliffe on 21 May.

The father-of-four was described by his family as an "avid cyclist" and "passionate Sunderland fan".

A 50-year-old man will appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on 16 October, charged with causing death by careless driving.
