Former Warwickshire police officer denies headquarters theft

A retired police officer has denied stealing from Warwickshire Police headquarters.

Paul Greaves, 54, from Carlton, Nottingham, pleaded not guilty to theft of money when he appeared at Warwick Crown Court in Leamington Spa on Thursday.

He is accused of stealing the money between June 2009 and September 2011.

A date for trial has not yet been set but Warwickshire Police said it could be in March or April 2014.
