Studio schools and university technical colleges open across south

A network of schools aiming to better equip students for employment is opening across the south region.

Studio schools will be located in Southampton, Bournemouth, Dorchester, the Isle of Wight and Banbury, while a university technical college has opened in Reading.

Christian Down, principal of Southampton Studio School, said pupils worked on projects alongside local employers to held them get a head start in industry.
