Leicester fire: Murder inquiry launched into fatal blaze

13 September 2013 Last updated at 22:47 BST

Leicester police have launched a murder investigation after four members of the same family were killed in a house fire.

The victims, who have not been formally identified, are believed to be a woman in her late 40s and her three teenage children, aged 19, 17 and 15.

Detectives have not ruled out the possibility the fire was linked to the murder of a man in his 20s on Thursday, less than a mile away from the house.

Sian Lloyd reports.
