Driveways rented for extra cash

New figures show that some homeowners are making more than £2,500 a year by renting out their driveways.

Local councils will be drawing up guidelines for people wanting to rent out their driveways and warn that they may be liable to pay tax.

Nearly 400 people are advertising a parking space for rent in Chelmsford.
