Manslaughter charge over Warrington pub assault death

A man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a 33-year-old who was attacked outside a Warrington pub.

David Brown, from Warrington, died on 11 August, two days he was assaulted at Chevys in Manchester Road.

The cause of his death has yet to be found. A post-mortem examination found blunt force was a contributory factor.

John Lowe, 46, of Marsh House Lane in Warrington, appeared at Runcorn Magistrates' Court and was remanded.

He will appear before Warrington Crown Court on 2 September.
