A man who failed to attend probation meetings in Surrey as part of the conditions of his release from prison has been arrested in Hertfordshire.

Robert James Keogh, 36, was sentenced to five years in prison at Lewes Crown Court in 2006 for offences including theft and assault in Eastbourne.

An arrest warrant was issued last month when he did not attend Guildford meetings after his release on licence.

Surrey Police said he was currently in custody awaiting return to prison.
