A three-year-old boy who crawled inside a Norfolk pub's claw crane arcade game had to be freed by the fire service.

Firefighters were called to the Bridge Inn, Acle at 19:45 BST on Sunday.

When they arrived they found the boy sitting inside the machine. It took them 15 minutes to dismantle it and free him.

A fire service spokesman confirmed the boy, who remained calm during the incident, was "absolutely fine, but his parents were concerned".

He managed to crawl into the machine through the flap which delivers prizes.

"The child squeezed into the machine and the crew had to pull it to bits to get him," the fire service spokesman added.

The pub has declined to comment.
