Man dies after being hit by lorry on A601M near Carnforth

A pedestrian from Cumbria has died after being struck by a lorry near the M6.

Police said the 34-year-old man was on the A601M link road at Carnforth, near the Truck Haven truck stop, when he was struck by a HGV on Thursday evening.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said he died at the scene. He has not yet been named.

Any witnesses to the crash are being urged to get in touch with officers from Lancashire Police.
