Cage birds stolen from Lancing, Sheppey and Newington

More than 50 birds have been stolen from a garden aviary in Lancing, West Sussex.

A thief forced open a garden shed in Sompting Road, where 30 budgerigars and more than 20 finches were kept, and took the birds and their cage.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area on Sunday night or Monday morning.

Days earlier a similar number of birds were reported stolen from aviaries in Sheppey and Newington, Kent.
