Five members of the same London family who were in a fight at an East Sussex holiday camp last year have been sentenced at Hove Crown Court.

Nicholas, Peter, Sophie and Alexander Petros, from Willow Walk, Tottenham, all previously admitted affray.

Anthony Petros, of the same address, pleaded guilty to assault by beating in the incident at Pontin's in Camber.

Nicholas and Anthony received suspended jail terms of six and four months. The others were given community orders.

Peter, Sophie and Alexander were also ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.

Three police officers suffered cuts and bruises in the brawl which involved about 20 people on 29 September.

One count of violent disorder against all five defendants was quashed, and another will remain on file, the court said.

Further charges of assault by beating against Nicholas, 50, Sophie, 20, Anthony, 28, Alexander, 23, and Peter, 30, were also quashed.

Anthony Petros had denied a further charge of affray which was also kept on file.
