Chelmsford flat murder: Man 'stabbed in the heart'

A man found dead in a flat in Chelmsford died from a stab wound to the heart, an inquest has heard.

Paul Simons, 55, from Bushey, Hertfordshire, was discovered by police and paramedics in the flat in Moulsham Street early on Saturday morning.

Michael Brennan, 22, from The Green, Melbourne, Chelmsford, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court tomorrow.

The inquest at Chelmsford Coroner's Court was opened and adjourned.
