Missing Kent sailor's body recovered in Sussex

The body of a sailor who fell overboard during gale force winds off the Sussex coast has been recovered.

Stephen Robert Trice, 55, from Rainham, near Gillingham in Kent, was reported missing at sea in the early hours of 5 February.

His body was found on the shore below cliffs at Beachy Head, on Thursday.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said his death was not being treated as suspicious.

Mr Trice had been crewing a tug, which was towing a cruiser, just south of Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne when he went overboard.
