Man arrested over home secretary threats

Theresa May MP Thames Valley Police said the offences releated to threats made against Theresa May MP

A man has been charged following alleged threats made against Home Secretary Theresa May.

Mark Walker, 39, formerly of the Kent area, was charged with offences under the Communications Act 2003 and Criminal Act 1977.

Thames Valley Police said the charges related to a bomb hoax at an address in Oxfordshire in 2012, as well as a letter and electronic communications.

Mr Walker is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court on 25 March.
