'Overwhelming response' to £1 house sale in Liverpool
Liverpool City Council has reported an "overwhelming response" to its plan to sell off homes for just £1.
The scheme forms part of wider plans to rejuvenate housing in Granby, Kensington and Picton.
Anne O'Byrne, cabinet member for housing at Liverpool City Council, told BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast that more than 2,000 people had been in touch about buying the 20 houses during the week they were on offer.
