Forces to have more Taser officers

Help

Four of the south's police forces are planning to arm more officers with Tasers.

The stun guns are used to stop anyone perceived to be threatening extreme violence.

Hampshire, Thames Valley, Sussex and Wiltshire police forces are now planning to issue more officers with Tasers.

But there are concerns their use may become commonplace.

The forces say any roll out of more Tasers will be accompanied by full training and monitoring.
