An ex-Everton, Wolves and Bradford City footballer has had an appeal against his jail term for drug offences turned down.
Michael Branch, 34, of Bempton Road, Liverpool admitted charges of possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs in November.
He was sentenced to seven years imprisonment at Chester Crown Court.
His appeal against the length of sentence was dismissed by three senior judges at London's Court of Appeal.
Branch, who began his career with Everton before moving on to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bradford City and Chester City, won one international cap for England U-21s.
He also had loan spells at Manchester City, Birmingham City, Hull City and Reading.
He was arrested and charged after police seized 1kg (2lb 3oz) of cocaine at his home in July.
He has admitted handing over under 3kg (6lb 10oz) of amphetamines to a man in a Liverpool car park in March.
