Huntingdon Life Sciences: Up to 95 jobs cut
A downturn in orders from the pharmaceutical industry has been blamed for the job cuts
Almost 100 people have lost their jobs at pharmaceutical laboratories in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.
In December, Huntingdon Life Sciences said staff would be consulted on the cuts at its headquarters in Alconbury and a centre in Eye.
A spokesperson said about 95 people lost their jobs. Most left in January and others will finish on the completion of current projects.
The firm said a downturn in the pharmaceutical industry was to blame.
Huntingdon Life Sciences had let go of 85 employees last July. It now employs about 1,200 people.
