Man killed in four vehicle crash on M25 in Kent

Crash on the M25 The M25 was closed in both directions after the crash on the clockwise carriageway

A man has been killed and a woman seriously injured in a crash on the M25 involving a lorry and three cars.

Kent Police said the woman was flown to a London hospital following the crash at 10:15 GMT. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the lorry has been arrested over the incident.

The clockwise carriageway between junctions four and five was likely to be closed until 17:00 GMT, according to Kent Police.

Officers said the anti-clockwise carriageway, which was closed earlier to allow the air ambulance to land and take off, had been reopened.
